Where is the office located?
Permits and Inspections office is located in the City Hall Building, Neighborhood development services Department, Inspections Department, 441 Market St, Suffolk, VA.

The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. When obtaining a permit, it is recommended to arrive at the office no later than 3:30 p.m., as it may take time to obtain necessary approvals prior to issuing the permit.
Inspectors are in the office at 7:00 a.m. every weekday, and return to the office at 3:30p.m.
Inspections before 3:30 p.m. will be scheduled for the next day. Inspections after 3:30 p.m. will be scheduled 2 days out.



An electrical inspector returns to the office from 3:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
